| MY EXPERIENCE IN GUANICA |
This year one of my resolutions was to go on road trips and visit places I've never seen in my beautiful island. I decided to go to the sunflower farm located in Guánica (the South of Puerto Rico). Since it's almost a 2 hour trip my family and I got hungry along the way and decided to stop at a local restaurant near the sunflower farm. We ended up discovering this restaurant called Bodega Andreu Solé. They are known for having a grape farm where they make wine, sangrias, and a line of handcrafted liquors. They offer a $10 tour around their vineyard and when you are done with the tour you get to enjoy food at their restaurant with a beautiful view. Really good food and good price too! When we were done with the food we went straight to the sunflower farm. It's the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon and to finish the weekend. They have sunflowers in 25 acres of land so imagine how big and how many flowers they plant. In those acres of land they plant six types of sunflowers and let me tell you it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment you arrive you are amazed. I got to witness it just in time for the sun to set. I walked among hundreds of sunflowers enjoying the breeze. Definitely would recommend visiting this place.
On to the next adventure!
